Both packages use Owens Corning Duration shingles and are installed by our own experienced crew. The main differences are the protective materials installed beneath the shingles and the warranty coverage you receive.
With most roofers, the workmanship warranty only lasts as long as the company does. They close in two years, your warranty goes with them. The Platinum Warranty is different. Owens Corning backs the work, not just us. If we stopped roofing tomorrow, Owens Corning would still send someone to fix or replace your roof, free.
We secure every shingle with six hot-dip galvanized nails. Their thick zinc coating provides added protection against rust and helps keep the shingles securely attached during strong winds.
We install six feet of ice and water shield along the gutter line and up to nine feet on homes with wider overhangs. This waterproof barrier helps stop melting snow and ice from getting beneath the roof.
Flashing seals the area where the chimney meets the roof, one of the most common places for leaks to develop. We use durable copper flashing around masonry chimneys for long-lasting protection.
A chimney cricket is a small raised section built behind a chimney. It directs rain, snow, and ice around the chimney instead of allowing water to collect behind it.
Drip edge directs rainwater away from the roof and into the gutters. This helps protect the edges of the roof, fascia boards, and underlying wood from moisture damage.
